A PUB cellar flooded with two feet of water.
It happened at The British Queen pub at The Triangle, Lower Willingdon, on Saturday.

The water poured into the cellar from an underground drain.

Manager Angela Cain said: 'I have been told that it is a natural thing here whereby the water comes down off the hills and comes up the drains.'

Firefighters pumped the water out and an electrician made sure everything was safe.

There was no stock damaged.
